Introducing the BB Energy Foundation Emergency Fund + Meet Our First Partner
BB Energy Foundation January 26, 2025
The BB Energy Foundation proudly announces the launch of its Emergency Fund, a critical initiative to provide immediate financial support for projects that address urgent needs around the globe. The fund is designed to quickly mobilize resources for high-impact projects in healthcare, education, and crisis relief, creating meaningful, lasting change where it’s most needed.
“Our Emergency Fund is our commitment to responding with urgency and purpose. It’s about ensuring that when crises arise, resources are mobilized quickly to create immediate and lasting impact for those who need it most,” said Brita Fernandez Schmidt, CEO of BB Energy Foundation.
The first project supported through this fund is a partnership with the Ghassan Abu Sittah Children’s Fund (GASCF) to establish the first-ever Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in southern Lebanon. GASCF is a non-profit dedicated to helping children affected by conflict by providing essential medical, psychological, and social services.
In southern Lebanon, critically ill children must endure long journeys to Beirut for intensive care, often risking their lives due to delays. Through this collaboration, the new PICU will bring life-saving care closer to home, drastically improving outcomes for vulnerable children and will provide vital, life-saving resources to communities in need.
The launch of the Emergency Fund is just the beginning. This initiative marks the start of many projects aimed at addressing the most pressing global needs. As the Emergency Fund continues to grow, the BB Energy Foundation is committed to driving real, lasting change and ensuring that help reaches those who need it most.
Stay tuned for further updates as the Emergency Fund expands its efforts to support transformative projects worldwide.
