In partnership with the Urugo Women’s Opportunity Centre, BB Energy Foundation is investing in the future of marginalized women in Rwanda. Through the Skills to Women Project, this initiative equips women—many of whom are survivors of past conflicts—with practical skills like tailoring, carpet weaving, and leatherworking, enabling them to generate sustainable incomes. Beyond vocational training, participants receive education on financial management, gender-based violence prevention, and family planning, empowering them to build secure, independent lives.
By providing access to training, tools, and resources, this partnership supports long-term economic resilience, gender equality, and improved well-being for women and their families. With measurable impact goals—including a 400% increase in program enrollment and a significant boost in income generation—this initiative is a step toward lasting transformation. Together, we’re not just teaching skills; we’re unlocking potential and creating pathways to opportunity.
