INSAF (Institution Nationale en Solidarité Avec les Femmes)

INSAF (Institution Nationale en Solidarité Avec les Femmes) is a Moroccan non-profit organisation dedicated to protecting, supporting, and empowering women and children in vulnerable situations. Working at the intersection of gender justice, child protection, and economic resilience, INSAF’s mission is to combat child labour, forced and early marriages, and the economic exclusion of women by providing access to protection, education, and socio-economic opportunities.

Guided by its vision of a society where every woman and child can live free from violence, exploitation, and discrimination, INSAF works to ensure that families have the stability, knowledge, and resources needed to thrive. The organisation’s approach combines social protection, psychosocial support, rights-based advocacy, and income-generating opportunities, making it a vital actor in both urban and rural development across Morocco.

INSAF is particularly committed to strengthening the resilience of women facing hardship — especially those in rural communities or affected by natural disasters. Through literacy programmes, vocational training, entrepreneurship support, and interventions that keep children in school, the organisation works directly on the root causes of poverty and vulnerability. INSAF also plays an important advocacy role, raising awareness on the rights of women and children while working with institutions and communities to prevent harmful practices.

Through its protection, education, and economic empowerment programmes, INSAF provides:

• Socio-economic empowerment for women, including vocational training, entrepreneurship support, and assistance in developing income-generating activities.
• Protection and education for children, with interventions that reduce school dropout, prevent child labour, and strengthen family resilience.
• Psychosocial support for women and girls, helping them recover from trauma, build confidence, and regain stability.
• Awareness-raising and advocacy, promoting women’s and children’s rights and working to prevent forced marriage and exploitation.
• Support for earthquake-affected rural communities, enabling women to rebuild livelihoods through training and sustainable income opportunities.

INSAF’s work contributes directly to SDG 1 (No Poverty) by strengthening family livelihoods; SDG 4 (Quality Education) through literacy, technical training, and reintegration of children into school; SDG 5 (Gender Equality) across all areas of its programming; SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by fostering employment and entrepreneurship; and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by targeting the most marginalised communities. The organisation’s partnerships also support SDG 17, strengthening collective impact.

Together, we are supporting rural women affected by the Al Haouz earthquake to rebuild their lives through skills training, psychosocial support, and sustainable income-generating activities — helping families regain security, strengthening local economies, and fostering long-term community resilience.
