Al Ikram Association is a Moroccan non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering women, youth, and vulnerable families through social innovation, education, and environmentally sustainable livelihoods. Founded on the belief that every person deserves dignity, opportunity, and hope, Al Ikram works at the intersection of gender equality, youth development, and environmental responsibility—supporting those most at risk of exclusion to build secure, autonomous futures.
Guided by the vision “Let’s work together to bring hope in the future for our youth and women,” the organisation focuses on empowering women breadwinners, supporting NEET youth (Not in Education, Employment or Training), and creating green employment pathways that contribute to Morocco’s circular economy. Its approach is deeply holistic, treating the family as an interconnected system and ensuring that women, youth, and young children receive the support they need to thrive.
Al Ikram’s work is organised around three complementary pillars: SheJobs, EdJobs, and GreenJobs. Together, these programmes address the structural challenges that drive poverty, inequality, school dropout, and environmental vulnerability. Through education, psychosocial support, legal assistance, vocational training, childcare, and environmental action, Al Ikram provides both immediate support and long-term opportunities that help families achieve stability and independence.
Through its gender, education, and green economy programmes, Al Ikram provides:
Al Ikram’s integrated model contributes directly to SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 3 (Good Health & Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy). Their programmes also advance SDG 8 (Decent Work), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 16 (Peace & Justice)—reflecting their commitment to both social and environmental transformation.
The BB Energy Foundation is proud to partner with Al Ikram Association. Together, we are supporting women breadwinners, NEET youth, young children, and waste pickers—strengthening education, expanding green employment, and fostering more sustainable, equitable communities across Morocco.
