Solidarité pour l’Épanouissement des Veuves et des Orphelins visant le Travail et l’Auto-promotion (SEVOTA) is a Rwandan organisation dedicated to supporting women, children, and families whose lives continue to be shaped by the long-term impacts of conflict. Working closely with widows, women survivors of gender-based violence, children born from rape, and youth affected by trauma, SEVOTA creates safe and supportive spaces where healing, resilience, and self-determination can grow. Their approach combines emotional support, practical education, and community dialogue to help families rebuild their lives with confidence.
Through their Thrive Together: Women, Children and Youth Well-Being Initiative, SEVOTA provides:
SEVOTA’s work directly aligns with SDG 3 (Good Health & Well-Being) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality). Their support creates measurable improvements in mental health, strengthens women’s rights, and promotes a more inclusive and peaceful community environment.
The BB Energy Foundation is proud to partner with SEVOTA in Rwanda. Together, we are investing in programmes that restore dignity, promote healing, and help women, children, and youth thrive—today and for future generations.
